Unemployment Benefits’ Hidden Scheme can Make the Recipients Go Bankrupt
Many people nowadays were unfortunately laid-off from their previous work. This might be because of recession happening all over the world that makes businesses and corporations unstable. That instability plus the practice of globalization by these companies serve as their cost-cutting measures. How can businesses implement cost cutting measures? It’s that simple. By using business process outsourcing or BPO, they can save up to 40-50% of their revenues while earning profitable costs. They seek potential and competitive corporations in the third world countries such as India and Philippines and train the people who are hired. These conditions can be depressing to the people who have been laid off specifically in the United States. But the local government was quick with their decision by passing the law of giving unemployed benefits to, of course, unemployed citizens. The government was able to allot a part of the national budget to aid this big problem. But sometime last year, there were hidden scheme upon creation of Unemployment Benefits Law. Other people who deserve to receive unemployment benefits quit after learning about this scheme. They said that it’s better to sustain themselves through the use of their savings than be bankrupt because of this scheme. One of the people who declined to receive unemployment benefits was interviewed. He was asked why he did not want to receive such benefit. He simply answered that it is definitely fine not to receive unemployment benefits after quitting. It is just logical to not receive it. His life can be so much better without it after he has been hired. He also said that the hidden scheme is unbelievable. He might go bankrupt even after he has long been hired because he has to pay and agree with the scheme.
